Both Online & Offline Ways to Apply For Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme

According to a recent report of 2019, PMAY or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme has aimed to provide 20 million homes to urban and rural people at an affordable amount. It is a project by the Government of India, initiated in the year of 2015.

Apply for PMAY scheme online

To meet the PMAY eligibility list online, go through the following steps:

  • Visit the official website of PMAY.
  • Log on to the official website to apply online.
  • Select the tab “Citizen Assessment”.
  • Follow the dropdown menu under the option of “Citizen Assessment” and select the appropriate tab of either “Benefits under the other three components” or “For slum dwellers”.
  • After redirecting to a new page, give your Aadhaar Card number.
  • After providing all the details, an application page will come.
  • In the application page, enter your detail like father’s name, income details, permanent address, etc.
  • Choose a component of PMAY under which you will get the benefits of the PMAY scheme.
  • After filling up the form on the application page, enter the correct captcha code.
  • After completing the above processes, click on the “Save” button to save your application.

A) Ways to apply under “Other 3 Components” online
Lower Income Groups (LIGs), Middle Income Groups (MIGs), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are taken as beneficiaries under the “Housing for all” by 2022 scheme. The annual income capital for economically weaker sections stands at Rs.3 lakh. For lower-income groups, the annual income ranges between Rs.3 lakh and Rs.6 lakh. The yearly earnings of middle-income groups range between Rs.6 lakh and Rs.18 lakh.

To avail the benefits under the section of “Other 3 Components” online, follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Log in to the official website to avail Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana loan.
  • Select the option of “Citizen Assessment” and check the drop-down menu.
  • Then click on “Benefits under 3 components” from the drop-down menu.
  • Enter your Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter’s ID Card details in the application form.
  • After filling up the application form, enter the correct captcha code.
  • After completing the above processes, click on the “Save” button to save your application.

B) Ways to apply under “Slum Dwellers” online

  • Log in to the official website of PMAY.
  • Select the option of “Citizen Assessment” and check the drop-down menu.
  • Then click on “Slum Dwellers” from the drop-down menu.
  • Enter your Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter’s ID Card details in the application form.
  • After filling up the application form, enter the correct captcha code.
  • After completing the above processes, click on the “Save” button to save your application.

Apply for PMAY scheme offline
In case if there is no internet connection, still one can apply for the PMAY scheme offline. For the offline process, it is advisable to visit a Common Service Centre (CSC). PMAY listed financial institutes, or State Government operate this service center.

The registration fee for an offline application is Rs.25 plus GST. Carry the necessary documents to apply for the PMAY scheme offline.
